Joe Farrell ![]() Market WatchSummer 2009 Well the summer season is upon us and activity has definitely increased. There was a nice run in late winter/early spring and then modest activity until the last month. Sales are off for the year both in residential and vacant land but there is activity at this time that could help catch us up. We are not a depressed market because of the continual flow of retired or soon to be retired buyers. Buyers with good credit or cash are finding it easy to obtain what they want. The advantage continues to be in the buyers favor and there is still hesitancy in many cases on the buyer's behalf. Buyers continue to have many choices and want to be sure they are making the right one at the right time and that is understandable. Sellers are for the most part understandable of the market condition and are realistic about there expectations. The long term looks very good as people feel the stress of big city life, high taxes, and desire quality of life over luxury. Boundary County is a special place that is not for everyone but those who live here know they are very fortunate to have such beauty, natural recourses, and friendliness. Those who find it are pleasantly surprised by all that is available living here, particularly those who love the outdoors. We hope that people who appreciate what we have here will continue to find us. Winter 2009 Summer 2009 Spring 2009 Fall 2008 |
